Portable Jewelry Display - Need That
Kind Of Flexibility? Read
On.
We see
salespeople ubiquitously carrying a portable jewelry display
through large city malls on their way to another store and
another sale. Upon entering a prospective client’s store,
these harried men and woman are quick to place their
portable jewelry display on a counter, open it and begin
another sales pitch. Street vendors in many cities around
the world have a display case lying open at their feet while
they clap their hands attracting passers-by. This is
prevalent in Japan where retailing laws seem nonexistent.
Indeed in recent years the amount of street vendors selling
costume jewelry from a portable jewelry display has
increased dramatically. There are of course, jewelry stores
which have these display cases open all the time. Opened
against black curtained walls, their wares sparkling under
positioned lights designed to make the items look more
expensive than they really are. The unsuspecting shopper
files pass these trinkets, stopping and handling an item for
an extra minute, before replacing the article and moving
on.
Some of
these shop patrons stop and try on a few of the sparkles -
asking friend’s how it looks, before replacing it back in
the display. Salesclerks stand nearby, smiling and offering
assistance to shoppers that haven’t even asked. This, in my
mind, is a typical jewelry store on a busy Sunday in a
mall.
A portable
jewelry display can be purchased at an array of different
outlets and prices vary little. The velvet cherry portable
wood display case can be used in various situations. It is
not uncommon for this case to be used on a table top or
counter to display various pieces of jewelry. Its
portability makes it easy to move around a store should the
owner wish to change the lay-out. Finished in polished wood
with brass hinges and handle, the case also has a
shatterproof clear plastic allowing interest parties to view
the contents without touching. The retail price for this
particular portable jewelry display is $60.00 and sales are
brisk.
Remember the
days of the traveling salesperson, his or her wares carried
in a portable display case? Knocking on your door, he or she
would be flicking the locks to the case even before you had
opened your front door. When you did pull it open, the
display case seemed to open with it and the gems within
would sparkle and make you asked, “How much?” Those two
words are what every salesperson loves to hear. Those two
words tell any portable jewelry display carrier that you are
interested. Now is the time to sell.
